Driving Lessons

Today was wonderful. I am very, very happy.

click Sarm for an ACTUAL graph!

An Actual Website!

Things that happened today:

GOOD: Sarm saying amusing things, global warming may not be happening, A in French, didn’t kill Luke in drama, read the Birthday Party, had a sub for Chemistry, read Sonnet 130, learnt to drive, got my newspaper, didn’t see Meerkat Boy, and of course, James was there!

BAD: Sarm talked too much, Hilary and her ham, ‘the nerd herd’, French… ’nuff said, curious lack of extension cables.

Also, Jim had his concert last night. Well done; you were fab.

Eiphel has just informed me that ‘helped’ isn’t how you spell ‘harrangued’. This isn’t relevant, just funny.

Oh. Birthday Party recalls tomorrow.

Oh dear.

In your face, JB Priestley.

In.

Your.

FACE.

I have finally, FINALLY, finished my English coursework, and I never ever have to do any GCSE English coursework ever again. This makes me very happy inside. Of course, having spent the entire weekend on that, I’m now behind on my other coursework. Bollocks.

I really detest that man. JB Priestley, that is. He just has this way of writing that’s so irritatingly SMUG and makes you want to punch him, like he’s jumping up and down saying “OOOH! I HAVE VIEWS! THEY’RE CONTREVERSIAL! THIS MAKES ME GOOD AT WRITING!” Not if you sacrifice what was obviously a serious ability to write in order to shove them in and destroy your own work it doesn’t, you tit. Your characters are two-dimensional, bordering on one-dimensional, and your plots are predictable and boring. One can tell your views from the first line in, rendering the rest of the play dull, pointless, dull and dull. Studying you and then writing about how great you were was the most painful load of bull I’ve ever had to do for a piece of coursework, and I’ve written how much I’ve learnt from studying solubility before.

Yet this is what made me good at GCSE RS last year. I have the ability, and it’s a bad one, to write piles of crap with about three facts in. Thank god (oho, my wit) for Mrs S and thoughtprovoking lessons where Christian Perspectives actually means Christian Perspectives, and not Christian Propaganda. Yes, I’m looking at you, Mr Teacher-From-Last-Year-Who-Left-Us-For-A-Catholic-School-Despite-Being-Anglican.

I mean, what?

In other news, have been having fun drawing obscene and pre-pubescent drawings with Eiphel; Loup has defriended me, but not, he assures me, due to not liking me, which is a relief; Xingy apparently has turned into aforesaid Loup (see comments on previous post) so welcome, Xinmei; I have found my ginger wig again and…

Torchwood is approaching v.v. rapidly, and I for one can’t wait. The trailers look amazing. Sex and Angst and Drama and Aliens and things from Doctor Who and JAAAACCCKKKK! More on this tomorrow, as I need a shower and then bed.

with all my love, dear,

I’m so non-conformist I’m actually conforming.
